David Petty from the App Inventor Foundation will present a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence Ethics with the UNESCO AI Competency Frameworks & MIT App Inventor” at the 2025 Digital Literacy and Computer Science Summit, hosted by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

This workshop will provide a brief introduction to the UNESCO AI Competency Frameworks and offer hands‑on experience with MIT App Inventor’s generative AI capabilities, including ChatBot and ImageBot. Participants will explore how the App Inventor Foundation’s free, open‑course curricula align with a human‑centered, ethics‑first approach to teaching AI.
